All-Star Jazz Band

The All-Star Jazz Band is offered mostly to music students enrolled in the Advanced Band or the Advanced Orchestra at Talbert, Fulton and Masuda Middle Schools.  This is a music enrichment class designed for upper level, experienced musicians (non-beginners) who want to explore the art form of jazz and blues, learn how to improvise and play solos, and who want to learn how to play swing style eighth notes, jazz chords and harmonies. Students will need to bring their own instruments to class at Masuda (drums, percussion, piano/keyboard and amps will all be provided).
